Will Cristiano Ronaldo extend Al Nassr contract to beat Lionel Messi’s THIS record?

If the Portuguese player decided to extend contract with Saudi Pro League team, he will receive a pay raise

Star footballer Cristiano Ronaldo, who is busy making waves and breaking records in the Saudi Pro League, is reportedly considering extending his contract with football team Al-Nassr, SportsKeeda reported.

Reports suggest that the Portuguese player is set to enter talks over his future with the Saudi team, which could help him break one of his arch-rival Lionel Messi’s records.

At the moment, the former Real Madrid and Manchester United players have 22 appearances in the competition, while the Inter Miami player stands at 26 matches.

By extending his contract until 2026, it will give Ronaldo a chance to represent Portugal in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will help him break Messi’s record.

Ronaldo’s contract with Al Nassr will expire in 2025.

According to Talk Sport, Ronaldo may extend his contract with the Riyadh-based team for another 12 months. In doing so, he will receive a pay raise, which already stands at a whopping €200 million.

In terms of fitness, there is no stopping the 39-year-old, as he continues to score goals for Al Nassr. This season, he finished as the Saudi Pro League’s highest goal scorer after netting 35 times in 31 matches.
