Biden offers to face Trump; a date has been set.

Biden and Trump agree to debate each other in the race for the White House.

Before the 2024 election, President Joe Biden and Former President Donald Trump are scheduled to debate.

Biden suggested that Trump and him have two debates earlier this week. The suggestion was warmly welcomed by the former president, who declared himself “ready to rumble.”

The two presidential candidates will have a face-off at 9pm ET on June 26 when they will be hosted by CNN in Atlanta, Georgia.

On Wednesday, President Joe Biden said that he would not participate in the autumn presidential debates sponsored by the nonpartisan commission. He opted for news organisations to host the debates.

“Donald Trump lost two debates to me in 2020. Since then, he hasn’t shown up for a debate. Now he’s acting like he wants to debate me again. Well, make my day, pal. I’ll even do it twice,” Biden said in a short video posted to X, formerly Twitter.

Taking a dig at the former president, Biden said, “So let’s pick the dates Donald, I hear you’re free on Wednesdays.”

Accepting the challenge, Trump said on his social media platform, Truth Social, “I am Ready and Willing to Debate Crooked Joe at the two proposed times in June and September. I would strongly recommend more than two debates and, for excitement purposes, a very large venue, although Biden is supposedly afraid of crowds – That’s only because he doesn’t get them. Just tell me when, I’ll be there. ‘Let’s get ready to Rumble! ! !'”

The debates are going to attract a lot of stares as the two have a history of disagreements. During the 2020 debate, the two candidates exchanged heated words and resorted to personal attacks. However, the two are expected to squarely limit themselves to issues such as the economy, healthcare, and foreign policy.
