On Wednesday, Lionsgate took over Times Square with a billboard announcement and also streamed the news during a special one-hour event broadcast live on TikTok.

The celebration was to celebrate tickets for The Hunger Games prequel going on sale and Rodrigo being the film’s secret unannounced musical artist, according to a press release.

Fans also got a mini-listening session for the song, being treated to a 60-second snippet of the new music.

The fun didn’t end there as cast members Tom Blyth, Rachel Zegler, and Josh Andrés Rivera were also in attendance.

Those who gathered in Times Square for the event got to see a clip from the movie, followed by a live, 50-plus-member choir singing, “The Hanging Tree.”

Footage of the big Hunger Games celebration was also shared on TikTok for fans to view worldwide.

“From the very beginning of this franchise, we have been fortunate to attract some of the world’s most talented recording artists, whose music has accentuated and complemented the drama of the films while underscoring the emotional weight carried by the characters,” the film’s director, Francis Lawrence, said before praising the “drivers license” singer.

“Can’t Catch Me Now” is available for pre-order and is the first track on the 17-song soundtrack. The music will be released on Nov. 17, the same day as the film.
