Britney Spears bombshell memoir shows no mercy to sister, father, ex-lover

Pop star Britney Spears has showed no mercy to the people, who willingly or unwillingly hurt her, as her memoir, The Woman in Me, has finally hit the shelves.

Britney slammed her sister Jamie Lynn Spears and, detailed conservatorship betrayal in her explosive memoir that already had created hype among her fans.

Though many bombshells have already come out in excerpts from the book – from a terminated pregnancy with Justin Timberlake’s baby to heartbreaking details about her conservatorship – fans now finally get to go deep with the …Baby One More Time singer’s story.

Since her conservatorship ended in 2021, fans of the star have patiently waited for her to expose the injustices she faced at the hands of her father, Jamie Spears, and the rest of her family.

And she certainly doesn’t hold back, sparing no one, including her sister Jamie Lynn Spears, who herself released a memoir, Things I Should Have Said, just two months after her older sister’s conservatorship ended (and it subsequently landed her a cease and desist from Britney.)

Though Britney, now 41, indisputably made her entire family famous (and rich) when she got on the road to stardom aged 11, in her memoir, she argues that Jamie Lynn was the star of the family, revealing that it was the Zoey 101 alum who really “ruled the roost.”

Recalling her mom Lynn Spears’ divorce from her dad Jamie and the changing dynamics in the Spears household, Britney writes: “My dad was nowhere to be found. And my little sister – well, when I tell you she was a total [expletive], I’m not exaggerating.”

She then details the favored treatment Jamie Lynn, now 32, got over her, and says: “Meanwhile, it was like I was a ghost child. I can remember walking into the room and feeling like no one even saw me. Jamie Lynn only saw the TV. My mother, who at one time had been the person I was closest to in the world, was on another planet.”

Britney shares in detail the change she saw in her little sister – from sweet to spoiled – talking back to her mother and spewing “these hateful words,” and continues: “I felt betrayed by how Jamie Lynn had changed. I’d bought a house for Jamie Lynn to grow up in. She was not exactly grateful for it.”

She adds: “That’s how we all were with Jamie Lynn: ‘You see it, you like it, you want it, you got it.’ As far as I could tell, her world was the Ariana Grande song ‘7 Rings’ come to life.”

Britney also accuses Jamie Lynn of abandoning her when she was already under her conservatorship, but was simultaneously being forced by her father to follow through with her planned Las Vegas residency in 2018.

She writes: “I called my mom to ask why everyone was acting like I was so dangerous,” to which she says her mom would just say: “Well, I don’t know, I don’t know, I don’t know…”
