Taylor Swift praises Beyoncé’s ‘generosity’ after she attends ‘Eras Tour’ movie premiere

First it was “Barbenheimer” season. Now, it’s officially the “Renaissance Era.”

In a show of legendary pop stars supporting one another, Beyoncé appeared as a guest at the world premiere of Taylor Swift’s concert film “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

Swift, 33, wore that red lip, classic thing her fans like (IYKYK!) and a blue, quilted Oscar de la Renta ballgown fit for the star of the night. Beyoncé, 42, posed alongside the “Lavender Haze” singer, wearing a chrome breastplate over a black bodysuit, in true Renaissance fashion.

Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and Taylor Swift attend the "Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour" concert movie world premiere on Oct. 11, 2023 in Los Angeles.

The “Karma” singer shared a Boomerang video with the “Virgo’s Groove” singer on Instagram as they enjoyed each other’s company over a tub of popcorn.

“I’m so glad I’ll never know what my life would’ve been like without @beyonce‘s influence,” Swift captioned the post. “The way she’s taught me and every artist out here to break rules and defy industry norms.”

The 33-year-old pop star continued to praise her peer for “her generosity of spirit” and “her resilience and versatility.”

“She’s been a guiding light throughout my career and the fact that she showed up tonight was like an actual fairytale,” Swift concluded.

The multi-Grammy award winners each headlined two of the biggest tours of the year, both of which are getting the concert movie treatment.

Both Swifties and the Beyhive have been in a race to score tickets for “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” and “Renaissance: A Film by Beyoncé,” the former of which premiered today and latter hitting theaters on Dec. 1.

It’s unclear when Beyoncé plans to have her concert film premiere, but we can only guess Swift will be a guest.

Inside the ‘Eras Tour’ movie: What to expect

Fans enthralled by the Eras concert will undoubtedly thrill at the opportunity to relive the magic and enjoy “The Eras Tour” as a communal concert experience more than a staid movie, USA TODAY’s music critic Melissa Ruggieri says.

Taylor Swift ‘Eras’ movie review:Concert film a thrilling revisit of her live spectacle

At just under three hours, the film version of Swift’s live spectacle is about 30 minutes shorter than her in-person performances throughout her six-month U.S. tour (her overseas dates kick off in November).

Her live shows offered a set list of 45 songs – once she added “Long Live” to the rundown in July – and the film, directed by Sam Wrench, shaves off only a handful of tunes for a more efficient run time.
